Medical doctors and dentists originally practiced medicine together. Dentists were called dental physicians, but medical doctors dismissed the need to combine both dental health and physical health. This was done in error, because science once again has proven that your well being is connected to your oral health. Dental physicians must be respected in today’s medical field. Glendora dentist offers holistic dentistry that is leading patients towards total body wellness.

Holistic dentistry provides a correlation between mercury fillings and disease that may be caused by deposits of toxic mercury traveling through the blood stream and remaining in body tissue. Gum infections can cause serious health issues, and it may ultimately be the cause of a stroke, heart disease, diabetes, cancer, premature birth, and more. Pockets of toxic bacteria have been created by root canals, and cavitations can be caused when teeth are extracted improperly. They can cause excess bacteria and toxins that invade other systems in the body.

Covina dental office listens to the patient and examines more than their mouth. The holistic approach focuses on total body health and looks for correlations between oral and physical disease. Auto immune responses and physical concerns can be addressed by looking into the mouth and establishing oral wellness. The benefits of holistic dentistry are a visit away. How To Burn More Fat & Calories For Women Who Want Effortless Weight Loss

womenfatburnerAre you mystified and confused by the concept of fat burning and how to get your body to burn more fat while you sleep?

First understand that the health principles of getting your body to burn fat, verses burning carbohydrates, as its primary source of energy is scientifically valid.

We all are born with a body that burns fat naturally, but through poor diet, stress and a ‘go hard or go home’ exercise mentality we transform to a unhealthy sugar burning state.

There are 7 exceptional good health reasons to transform your body into a fat burning machine!

1. Effortless Weight Loss
2. Easy Appetite Control
3. More Energy
4. Improved Sleep Recovery (sleep less, rest more)
5. Better Quality of Thinking
6. Calm Mood Control
7. Increased Sexual Response

The big mystery is how to achieve a fat burning metabolism?

For most women the answer is a fat burner supplement.

Unfortunately the truth about fat burning is buried under the media hype of Ephedra and other stimulant-like supplements.

Not to mention the considerable differences between men and women’s fat metabolism – something that no one seems to talk about!

That is why a weight loss program like Diet.com is so powerful – it looks not only at gender but also personality differences. You can take a  Free fat burning assessment on their website.
Understanding how women differ in how they burn fat during exercise and rest is the key to solving the puzzle of fat burners.

Why do some people seem to burn fat better that others?

Article written by Free health remedies

weight-lossEverybody seems to have that one friend that can eat anything they want without putting on 1 oz of extra weight.

This observation often leads to the question: “Why do some people seem to burn fat better that others?”

Unfortunately, many women believe that some people are simply born with a high metabolism that allows them to burn fat effortlessly …
…and if you are not born with a high fat burners metabolism, then you are destined to count calories and be stuck with the body of your mother and grandmother.

Sound familiar?

This is one of the BIGGEST myths about fat burning! The reality is that anyone can train her body to burn fat naturally.

And it does not involve:

  • Fat burning supplements (and yes some pills do encourage your body to burn fat instead of sugar)
  • Spending hours of each day lifting weights (and yes more muscle does means higher metabolism)
  • Pushing yourself to the max every time you work out (and yes you do burn more calories per hour if you workout at a higher intensity)

Even thought the above statements contain some truth, the above conventional thinking about fat burning is one of the biggest hoaxes today in the health and fitness industry today.

I call it a hoax because it is an obsession with:

  • Increased muscle mass
  • Pills
  • High intensity workouts

all of which prevent you from getting to what it really means to be a fat burner.

Even though each of the above statements is true, none of the actions will effectively and efficiently train your body to burn fat as the primary source of energy.

Watch Out for Weight-Loss Scams

Article written by Family health advices

Weight-Loss ScamsWeight loss myths are the easiest scam to fall into. Who isn’t Looking for a quick and easy way to lose weight?

You’re not alone and the marketers lying in wait to feed you product after program after pill!

An estimated 50 million Americans will go on diets this year. And while some will succeed in taking the weight off, very few–perhaps 5 percent–will manage to keep all of it off in the long run.

One reason for the low success rate is that many people look for quick and easy solutions to their weight problems.

They find it hard to believe in this age of scientific innovations and medical miracles that an effortless weight-loss method doesn’t exist.

So they succumb to quick-fix claims like:

“Eat All You Want and Still Lose Weight!”

“Melt Fat Away While You Sleep!”

Some natural products like  hoodia and green tea can help but not one thing alone is going to create the miracle.

And they invest their hopes (and their money) in all manner of pills, potions, gadgets, and programs that hold the promise of a slimmer, happier future.

The weight-loss business is a booming industry. Americans spend an estimated $30 billion a year on all types of diet programs and products, including diet foods and drinks.

Trying to sort out all of the competing claims–often misleading, unproven, or just plain false–can be confusing and costly.

The Ultimate Fat Burning Strategy

Article written by Free weight loss guide blog

fatburningstategyThe basic scientific truth that no one seems to talk about is that your body has two energy sources it can choose.
To keep the science lingo to an absolute minimum – I refer to these 2 primary energy sources as sugar and fat.
Ultimate you have a choice to burn fat or burn sugar – as a primary source of your energy.
It is a choice you make through the way you choose to:

  • Think about life
  • Train and experience movement
  • Eat and feed your body, mind and spirit

Technically you will always be burning sugar and fats at the same time – the real question is what is your PRIMARY or dominate source of energy.

Fat or Sugar?

When I work with my clients I ‘m always talking about fat-burning or sugar-burning as though they are exclusive and I will do that throughout this website for the sake of convenience.

But, please take note what it really means – when I say you are a Fat Burner, what I am saying is that your body’s favorite type of energy is FAT!

Naturally, the next question is how do you know if your body is burning sugar or fat?

Well, technically you can always go to an exercise physiology lab using scientific analytical equipment – but that simply is not practical.

Ideally you should be able to complete a self-check or scan and establish a sense of what fuel your body is burning.

An effective skill to learn is to listen and understand your body’s messengers.

According to fitness & nutrition expert Caroline Smith, these “metabolic messengers” can give you clues about what energy source you are using.

During exercise there a specific:

  • Auditory
  • Visual
  • Breathing

pattern clues that will tell you exactly whether you are burning sugar or fat.

The real advantage of training your body to burn fat is being able to do so at rest or any time after you exercise.

This is the component that is often missed by advocates of high intensity training.

They often speak of ‘metabolic activity’ after exercise and point out that the more muscle you have the more calories you burn.

What they don’t say is what kind of calories do the muscles burn during rest? Is it fat or sugar?

Without the science lingo I will attempt to give you a story about what happens with high intensity training and your metabolism.

It is true that you will burn more fat and total calories per exercise session if you work at a higher intensity.

But the real question for weight management is:

– What is the total number of calories burned in each day?

– What is the main source of energy during exercise?

When you train at high intensities you utilize your sugar stores for energy.

And when you do that, you need to feed your body sugar to replace these emergency energy stores in your muscle and liver.

When you finish your workout your body will be craving sugar, so you feed it sugar –

  • Bananas
  • Apples
  • Gatorade
  • Powerade
  • Powerbars
  • Balance Bars

are all sugar based foods and drinks that people commonly use during and after a high intensity workout.
And when you eat sugar, you set up a vicious cycle “sugar begets sugar”! When you eat sugar you need to keep on eating it!
Imagine all the insulin that pumps into your body every time you eat sugar. Is there any wonder that Type II diabetes is such a problem in America!

“Go Hard or Go Home” and “Faster and BIGGER is Better !

These are the North American cultural messages about exercise and they are dangerous!
Do you know what insulin does beside regulate your blood sugar?

It promotes fat storage of the extra sugar that you do not need. Then you add the high intensity stress component and increase cortisol release for even more fat storage.

So, what you have is a recipe for fatness!

Many of my clients complain that they exercise and exercise hard, but never seem to loose the fat! This is why – they are caught in the FAT – TRAP induced by a body craving sugar as its fuel.
Okay, let’s return to the post high intensity exercise scenario I was describing above…

…the next day you repeat – you rush to the gym, complete a high intensity exercise routine, and feed the body sugar.

What do you think a fat burner supplement will do for a sugar burner?

A Sugar-Burner’s body is completely confused – a fat supplement is working against the way you are training your body!

The Father of American Geography

By Samuel Phineas Upham

William Morris Davis was born in 1850 to a Quaker family in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He attended Harvard, graduating with a Masters in Engineering, and is often referred to as the “Father of American Geography”. Davos became interested in the intersection of meteorology and geography, and he studied both at the same time.

Through his work, scientists are able to clearly see the meterological event and the corresponding geographical affect. Without this information, we would understand far less about concepts such as soil erosion or mudslides.

Davis also studied many aspects of nature, including how weather affected the wildlife and fauna around him. Eventually, he took his expertise back to Harvard where he became an instructor.

His cycle of erosion, created in 1884, defined the method that rivers helped to create and define land masses. It was critical for its time, but is simplistic by today’s standards.

Davis was able to successfully show how the rivers flow, and how different sections are formed over time. He became intensely focused on the effects of water to the landscape, especially precipitation. He documented how river runoff contributed to other bodies of water, and created land masses.

Davis became intensely involved with the National Geographic Society during his later years, and penned a great many articles for them. In 1904, Davis formed the Association of American Geographers, which occupied a great deal of his time. He was married three times throughout his life, but he never strayed far from his work. He died in California in 1934, at the age of 83.

How to Avoid an Exercise Rut

Article written by Behavior disorders

If your workout remains the same for too long, you’re missing out. Your body gets used to repetitive exercise, and it doesn’t gain muscle the way it should when you begin your training. You end up with diminished returns, which is to say that the energy you exert is not equal to what you get for that time and effort.

Shocking the Muscles

There are a few ways to go about, but the idea is to give your muscles a bit of shock by asking them to do something they aren’t used to doing. Some people get around this by switching which parts of the body are worked on which days.

Another option is to change which exercises you use for a particular part of the body. Legs are an easy example because there are so many ways to strengthen your legs. You might go for a jog one day, leg weights another and squats at the end of your week.

Creating a framework for your routine that changes consistently is key in avoiding the exercise rut.

Trial and Error

Through trial and error, you find which exercises work for you. That gives you more options to add to your repertoire which ultimately reduces the chances of you suffering from a rut. Adding increased weight to your warm up session, doing forced reps or practicing the rest-pause technique can help.

Once you’ve found some options that work for you, save them until you start to plateau. Using those other exercises will help you get over that hurdle much faster than adding more weight.

A Brief Overview of Medicine in Hong Kong

By Phineas Upham

Hong Kong is a modern city, so it’s hard to believe that there are only two medical facilities offering six-year degree programs. That’s only a portion of a story that stretches back to 1887, involves a bit of revolution, and comprises the structure of modern medical education in Hong Kong.

1.-Medical-Team

In 1887, the Hong Kong College of Medicine for Chinese was founded with the core mission of teaching medicine to the Chinese. This effort was founded and funded by the London Missionary Society, which would later become the Council for World Missions. The college’s first graduate was Sun Yat-Sen, who would become the founding father of the Republic of China.

Sun fell in with a group of revolutionary thinkers who were popularly dubbed “The Four Bandits”. They began publicly speaking out against the ruling Qing Dynasty, which stubbornly refused influence from Westerners and routinely declined sending scholars to learn from those more technologically advanced. It was not until the first Sino-Japanese War that Sun would see the opportunity to overthrow China’s dynastic system and create something new.

In 1911, the Hong Kong College of Medicine for Chinese became the School of Medicine of the University of Hong Kong. Today, it is one of two facilities offering study programs to students hoping to practice the science of medicine. These facilities also place students in internships, which are requirements before a student is able to properly practice medicine. Exams, however, are rigorous. Consider that Sun Yat-Sen was one of only two graduates from a class of just 12 people. Today, students can expect a pass rate of 5-10%.

Combine African mango with green tea for weight loss

Article written by Cellan.

Can the miracle fruit African mango and EGCG rich green tea work together to help you lose weight? The overwhelming answer is “yes” they can bring surprising weight loss results.

green-tea

Seeds of African mango contain higher level of soluble fiber causing improved metabolism, lowering “bad” cholesterol, lower blood sugar level, lower the risk of diabetes, bind bile acids and remove them from your system and many other benefits. Green on the other hand contains a powerful catechin known as EGCG (epigallocatechin 3-gallate). EGCG is well-known to prevent the breakdown of hormone and neurotransmitter causing increased level of fat and calorie expenditure in your body. The combination of African mango and green tea extract works well and results in a weight loss. The amount of weight loss is up for debate. Some studies suggest negligible results while others produce very promising results. Cellan Diet Pills contain both dried and powdered inner seeds of African mango and 100 percent green tea extract.

Both African mango and green tea works well to reduce body weight and bring other benefits. This is why Cellan Diet contains dried and powdered inner seeds of African mango and 100 percent green tea extract.

The Secret to Understanding the Manifestation Process

Written by Heather Richards

A growing trend in new age thinking is the idea that you can manifest your wants and needs through the Law of Attraction, or focusing on positive thoughts. The idea is that through your thoughts you can create your own reality. Although most people get excited about the possibility of achieving their dreams, too often they get confused and even discouraged by the process of manifestation. They believe that the journey is too long and usually give up halfway.

bigstock-young-women-in-lotus-pose-26425673

Do you want to achieve great things in your life but often find yourself impatient? You’re not alone. Here, Dr. Eric Amidi, explains a trick to understanding the manifestation process that might help you stay patient and even expedite the journey.

Don’t separate your journey from your goal. This basic but vital concept comes from Taoism. It suggests that most people separate their goals from the path toward the goal. However, separating the path from the goal destroys the manifestation process. This is because they are both required in order for the goal or desire to be realized in your life. Dr. Eric Amidi is saying that you can’t get to your goal without walking the path and you can’t walk the path if you don’t have a goal.

Have you separated your goals from the journey? If you have, there’s time to change your mindset and start over. This time remember that the journey is just as important as the goal, a concept that Dr. Eric Amidi often writes about. Enjoy the journey as if you have already reached your goal. Instead of focusing on how long the journey is or that you wish you were already there, be happy and proud of yourself that you’re on a path toward a place you want to be in life.
